Who do you mean? If I check the people that do not have obvious german names, I get the following:

Sami Khedira, born in Stuttgart, Germany
Mesut Özil, born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany
Lukas Josef Podolski, born in Gliwice, Poland in 1985, moved to Germany in 1987
Mario Gomez García, born in Riedlingen, Germany
Miroslav Josef Klose, born in Opole, Poland in 1978, moved to Germany at age 8, father is of the german minority in Poland
Jérôme Boateng, born in Berlin, Germany
Cacau - born in Brazil, moved to Germany at age 20, so I agree in his case, but he wasn't a starter against England

Not sure who you mean, Janie. Except for Cacau, I would count everybody born outside Germany to be raised here... Although I have to admit I did not check people with german sounding names, so maybe there is a surprise lurking there.

Maybe the midfield stoped passing to Rooney was cos he couldent controll the ball (may be nike got him to promote some new boots 5 weeks before a tournament again)

Over the whole tournament Rooney was Englands worst player (Barry had less games)

The Media must take a lot of blame for are failings, and Fabio has fallen for all there hype.

Calls for drop Hesky he's not bringing the best out of Rooney play Gerrard behind Rooney etc etc, were all crap Barry is our savior in the holding role crap.Gerrard cant play with Lampard in midfield crap no ever suggest droping BOTH of them if there not performing, theve both been capable of playing shit with the other on the field.

If you want to stick by your belief in playing 4 4 2 fine but pick players to fit those positions, not players who sell newspapers if Gerrard wont stay on the left then sub him.

Sob Fabio wont tell us the team two days in advance so we cant print it in the papers run pointless tv segments, its making the players nervious crap the players that sell newspapers (and WRITE for) new they were in the starting 11 before the world cup started. And they were our worst performers

The players were tired after a long season (maybe true) then pick players who had some rest during the season when the chapions league was on (ie there team wasnt in it) Jo cole hardly played much last season did he Alex ferguson told Fabio Hargreves wasnt fit enough crap fabio had no intention of using Parker so why not put Hargreaves into the 30 and find out yourself in the frendlys

Fabio was to stricked the players are bored etc etc crap more like were in a 5 star hotel our wags and agents want a part of it

I thought Fabio had the Balls to make decisions, and look how a player is playing and not get obsessed with the name on his back

The only way England are ever gona win the world cup is to take away all the journalist passports and play it on the RADIO

The media isn't exclusive to England though. Having spent some time in Portugal recently their media had a massive campaign to get Carlos Querioz removed from his role of coach of Portugal. I wouldn be very surprised if most European nations where football was the number one sport in the country also didn't suffer from media blanket coverage and I doubt the Journalism quality varies too much.

To me it simply comes down to the fact we were tactically inept and got away with it against the 3 group opposition because they didn't have the quality to punish us. But as soon as we came us against a decent team we got completely outplayed.

"Meanwhile, central defender John Terry finally arrived back in England's 18-yard box last night only to find that everyone else had gone home.

He eventually got out of the stadium after climbing over a fence."

snigger...

David Blaine is said to be gutted after learning that Wayne Rooney has beaten his record for doing nothing in a box.

To cheer up the England fans Capello has organised a friendly against Iceland. If we can beat them we go on to play Tesco and then Sainsburys.

I find the big expensive Nike advert for the world cup amusing now.
I believe every single player that featured that ad firstly played poorly and secondly is out of the world cup now.

...wonder when will Rooney be moving into his caravan?

It's nothing new.

Stuart broad got dropped form the England cricket team and sent to the Gym as he spent a winter modelling not working. He's now back, adn better than ever.

Brian Habana, once the darling of South Africa, is barely getting a look into the side (subbed vs italy lol) as... he spent all his time farting about making money through advertising, not playing the sport he's supposed too.

Spain have made the final with a national athemn that has no words! How did they manage to invoke national passion without a good old fashioned pre match sing song will remain a mystery. I suppose they'll put it down to 'good management/players' and 'tactics' and other myths.
